Strengths: Excellent product, runs very quiet. turns off automatically when desktop turns off & turns on when started. great value for the price!!

Was looking for an external hard drive to backup my new desktop. Chose Western Digital because of its reputation and dependability. would definitely recommend this product to anyone considering an external hard drive!!!

Strengths: Easy installation, worked with vista, good features, attractive appearance

Weakness: no one touch automatic backup, slow first time backup

Western Digital My Book 500gb external hard drive has many office features that are appealing to me. I liked the sleek design. It installed perfectly without any error messages like the Maxtor One Touch that I previously purchased, which I refunded at the store.
