Western Digital Caviar SE16 in Hard Drives

Review: I bought this drive because the WD site said it is quiet and cool during operation, two features most important to me. And the drive lives up to the reputation. It also has very good specifications and is the least expensive 500GB IDE harddrive available now. What else can you expect? I am really satisfied with it.

Review: I purchased this drive about one month ago for my first attemp at building a computer. It has preformed flawlessly and I have been very pleased with it. When tested in my new system it had a random access time of 13.5ms and an average read time of 57.1 MB/s. I would give it a "5" but my experience with hard drives in very limited.

Review:  I have been using western digital hard drives for a long time. All of my past experience told me that WD is a reputatble company that makes good HD and they stands behind their products. Many friends of mine use WD hard drive and so far we have no problem. Same with this hard drive. This hard drive runs great as my data storage drive. Larger size cache makes the system runs less memory accesses...

Review: I did investigate a lot before deciding to buy it and I have to say I do not regret my decision. Great drive, fast and silent at the same time. The perfect backup medium. I think I will get a 2nd one.
