My Brook Pro Edition II External 2TB Hard DriveStrengths: Huge disc space. Weakness: Very thick and somewhat loud (fan). In general, this is recommended for those who deals with movie editing or with something that requires large disc space. It is not recommended for casual users since the price is kind of hefty. It can be connected to your pc using USB 2.0, Firewire 800, Firewire 400. It is very stable and reliable.

My Book Pro Edition II External 2TB Hard DriveStrengths: Easy, quick installation, intended for Macintosh - already formatted for a Mac but easily configurable to FAT format for Windows machines Weakness: A bit noisy at spin-up or when it is initially being accessed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an easy to install and use Raid 1 drive with 2 TB capacity. This unit is very affordable and well worth the money. The software installed quickly and seemed intuitive and glitch-free. The ability to easily replace either drive and the Firewire 800 interface, which is fast, were appealing features. Strengths: Massive capacity, easy installation, triple interface

I've got 2 TB internal so I needed 2 TB to back it up. Using Time Machine, FireWire 800, and a My Book results in an easy and effective backup solution. I've seen reviews that the fans are so loud as to sound like a 747 at take-off. This is utter rubbish.
